    Day 01: Drive from Bangkok via Aranjapathet to Siem Reap. 4-hour drive in a good air-conditioned car/minibus through the interior of Thailand to the Cambodian border at Aranjapathet. At the border we get our visa for Cambodia (VIP visa currently 65€ - with visa assistance. Bring 2 passport photos). Our Thai partner can help with visas and border crossings. Then we drive on good roads past rustic Khmer villages to Siem Reap. On this journey you have the impression that time has stood still there. The road from Aranjaprathet to Siem Reap is new (about 150 km) and takes 2 hours. We will arrive in Siem Reap in the afternoon.
    Overnight stay in Siem Reap in a first class hotel.

     

    Day 02: Visit to the temple complex of Angkor Wat. Sunset at Temple Mount Phnom Pakhen.
    In the morning we visit the 12th century. Built, 20 meter high south gate of Angkor Thom, which is surrounded by stone elephant trunks and where 4 stone, huge faces look in all directions.
    We also visit Baksei Chamkrong (10th century), a brick-built temple complex with 5 Buddha statues and the Bayon temple complex, built in the 12th century, with extraordinary reliefs 1,200 m long and with over 11,000 figures. After lunch, the sightseeing program includes a detailed tour of what is probably the most spectacular structure ever built by the human spirit, namely Angkor Wat.
    We then drive to the Phnom Pankhen pyramid temple, built in the 9th century and dedicated to Shiva, where we experience a breathtaking sunset from the Temple Mount. Overnight in Siem Reap.


     

    Day 03: Visit to the temple complex of Angkor Wat.
    Visit to the 12th century built temple complexes Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda as well as Ta Nei, Ta Promh, a Buddhist temple complex where almost 13,000 people lived. We also visit Ta Keo (10th century), the first sandstone building in Angkor, the 400 m wide and 800 m long Sra Srang ablution basin and the Prasat Kravan, Kuticvara, Bat Chum and Bantheay Kdei facilities. Overnight in Siem Reap.

    Day 04: By ship or car: Siem Reap - Battambang
    We travel by boat along rustic “floating Khmer villages” on the Sangkae River to the center of Battambang. Due to the water level of the river, we can only undertake this 6-7 hour boat tour in the months of August to February. If the boat trip is not possible for weather or other reasons, this route to Battambang will be driven by car.  If we don't go by boat, then on day 3 we will take a boat trip on the largest inland lake in Southeast Asia, Lake Toenlesap. It is interesting to observe the life of the Cambodian fishermen and the Vietnamese minorities on the houseboats.
    Overnight stay in a good boutique hotel in Battambang.





    Day 05: Battambang sightseeing. Those in the 11th century. The city of Battambang, founded with around 250,000 inhabitants. the 2nd largest city in Cambodia - a charming small town with well-preserved buildings in the French colonial style.
    We look at the temple complexes from the 11th century and take a short ride outside the city on the spectacular “Bamboo Train”. Overnight stay in a good boutique hotel in Battambang.


    Day 06: Battambang – Tatai – Romantic jungle adventure in Tatai. FA.
    Approximately 5-hour drive from Battambang through the Cardamom Mountains to Tatai. Then paradise awaits you! We take the boat to one of our first class eco lodges - Tatai 4- Rivers Floating Lodge. http://ecolodges.asia This lodge can only be reached by boat. Dinner is included. 4- Rivers Floating Lodge - First Class: Luxurious tent villas, perfectly furnished (approx. 40 square meters), await us directly on the river. Each of these villas has a view of the Cardamom Mountains. Pure nature! All villas are equipped with a bathroom and shower. Kayak boats are available and the complex also offers a gourmet restaurant.

     

    Day 07: Shower under a tropical waterfall. Mangrove jungle. FA.
    Today we take a day trip to the nearby Tatai Waterfalls for a shower under the tropical waterfall. Continue to the huge mangrove jungle. When you return, treat yourself to a relaxing massage (for a fee).
    Dinner is included.


    Day 08: Tatai – Koh Kong – border with Thailand – drive to Koh Chang.
    The drive to the Koh Kong border only takes 1 hour. Continue after the border to Koh Chang. The paradise holiday island of Koh Chang is only 2 hours away from the border. Transfer to the popular first-class beach resort KC

    The “Elephant Island” Koh Chang is the second largest island in Thailand with a marine national park of over 50 islands. Koh Chang is located in eastern Thailand near the Cambodian border. 20-minute ferry boat ride from the mainland to the island. There are also daily flights to Bangkok from Trat.
    On the island, which is covered with 70 percent rainforest, with numerous waterfalls and intact fauna and flora, you will find the most beautiful palm beaches with turquoise-blue, crystal-clear water. Koh Chang is an absolute dream island that has already gained a foothold in international tourism, yet still maintains its originality but has still preserved it. There are now excellent hotels and bungalows in all categories. Excursions and diving trips are offered on the island at reasonable prices.
